Machine Washable - Protective Properties Do Not Wash Out
You can wash your snood as often as you like without it losing its permanent protective anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. The Ionic+Silver that protects you from the nasties is knitted directly into our fabric, and Does Not Wash Out.
There are No fabric coatings, which would wash away with each visit to the laundry basket.
Contact with Fabric containing Ionic + Silver
Membrane proteins on the OUTSIDE of the VIRAL PARTICLE are RESPONSIBLE for VIRUS INTEGRITY and FOR ADHERENCE TO HUMAN CELLS. Proteins in the viral envelope have shown to be SENSITIVE to SILVER IONS (Ag+) and Silver (AG 0)
Interaction with Fabric containing Ionic + Silver Affects Proteins at the Viral Surface
Silver particles and/or silver ions, which are Present in the Fabric, interact with the virus on contact.
Weakened proteins cause membrane leakage and virus inactivation
This contact DESTABILISES the STRUCTURE of the VIRAL ENVELOPE, CAUSING VIRAL CONTENTS TO SPILL OUTSIDE OF THE CELL. As the viral contents are spilled out, THE VIRUS IS UNABLE TO INFECT THE CELL. (INACTIVATION).
Inactivation of these proteins in the viral envelope RESULT IN VIRUS INACTIVATION, as the virus loses its ability to bind and enter human cells.
